ITÁLICA LATE ANTIQUITY: REFLECTIONS AND SUBJECTS PENDING

RESUMEN
El presente artículo realiza una síntesis interpretativa sobre la ciudad de Itálica (Santiponce, Sevilla) durante la Antigüedad Tardía (IV-VII d.C.). Para ello, se ha escogido las principales fuentes literarias, así como el registro arqueológico para aproximarnos a su historia y urbanismo. Pese a contar con numerosa información, la ciudad presenta aún grandes interrogantes que solo podrían ser solventados con estrategias de campo y revisión de las antiguas intervenciones que persigan la obtención de una nueva lectura de su información.
ABSTRACT
This article aims to interpretive synthesis on the city of Itálica (Santiponce, Seville) during Late Antiquity (IV-VII AD). To do this, we have chosen the main literary sources as well as the archaeological record to approach history and urbanism. Although there is much information, the city still has major questions that could only be solved with field strategies and review of old interventions which pursue obtaining a new reading of its information.
